Good uses for a PDF-to-GIF animation
GIFs autoplay where PDFs can’t: in email newsletters, social posts, chat apps and README files. That makes PDF to GIF a handy way to preview a slide deck, show off a multi-page flyer or menu, or share a short comic strip. Two to four seconds per page works for text-heavy slides; one second suits visual pages.
Text gets small quickly in a GIF, so render at 720–1000 px wide for documents meant to be read. If the result is too large for email, the GIF compressor can reduce colours and size, and GIF to MP4 creates a far smaller video version for social media.
Back to PDF
The reverse is just as easy: GIF to PDF puts every frame of a GIF on its own page or lays them out as a printable contact sheet. For scanned multi-page TIFF documents, use TIFF to GIF.
